She was the youngest of three, having two older twin sisters who were seen as perfect. Her parents wished for a son, and they believed that is what they were getting until Allistair was born. They decided to keep the chosen name and just call her Allis. Her mother, through her disappointment and poor mental health, treated her like a parasite, while her father loved her dearly, often letting her work with him at his music shop. Her sisters simply ignored her existence or fed their unstable mother lies about Allis. On her 13 birthday her father was taking her to celebrate, but they were at the wrong place at the wrong time, a drunk driver was trying to out run the cops and rammed into their car, knocking it off the bridge and into the lake. Her father pulled her from the car and tried to swim her to safety, but her powers activated in her panic. She watched in helpless horror as her fathers body decayed under her frantic grasps. She was found the next morning washed up on the beach, alive but unconscious. When she came to in a hospital her mental state was fragile, and she blamed herself for what happened, as did her mother of course. She refused to let anyone touch her, afraid of what might happen to them, so she was given tranquilizers. Her mothers mental state was completely crumbled now and often would try to kill Allis, once she almost succeeded in drowning the girl, but her memories and fear arose and again her powers activated, resulting in the amputation of her mothers arm. No longer able to stand the "creature" as she believed, she sent Allis to a mental institution. Despite all of this Allis still longed and attempted to gain her mothers affection to replace that of her fathers, and thought she had gained it when her mother picked her up from the institution. Instead her mother had intentions of finally killing of the girl in hopes of returning herself to sanity.
